Welcome to Yayasan Keadilan dan Perdamaian Indonesia (YKPI)

YKPI welcomes Patrons, supervisors, staff, volunteers, partners, and communities from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and traditions. Together, we unite these strengths to inspire and commit to justice and peace for ourselves, our environment, Indonesia, and the world.

Yayasan Keadilan dan Perdamaian Indonesia (YKPI) was established in December 2020 as a legal entity in the form of a foundation. It carries out its duties and mandates in accordance with applicable laws in Indonesia, working for social justice and peace, combating injustice, inequality, intolerance, violence, radicalism, conflict, and racism, and advocating for policy changes that support justice, tolerance, and diversity.

To achieve this, YKPI’s work begins by building a team based on the potential of each individual involved, empowering one another to advance together, and providing equal opportunities for all team members to develop their ideas. This allows the entire team to utilize YKPI as a vehicle for achieving its vision and mission while strengthening broader movements with its partners.

Therefore, YKPI’s team work requires flexibility, transparency, simplicity, strong teamwork, progressive mentoring, mutual respect, appreciation for achievements, recognition of diverse experiences, patience for differing perspectives, nurturing leadership, wholehearted commitment, thoughtful action, sincere listening, and shared roles in running the organization.

YKPI respects the equality, dignity, and worth of all individuals and the sanctity of all creation. We do not consider anyone an enemy; in the face of violence, we strive to respond with goodness. We acknowledge that our understanding of truth is not complete and seek deeper insights from our life experiences. We affirm the power of love and active nonviolence as pathways to justice and reconciliation.
